There are very few changes with this release, mainly new artwork around Iolite on Patrol. I am getting a bit better at the artwork, but I am not that fast at it.
We have a few people coming up to speed on the artwork side and I hope we will see something from them soon.
BTW, a few of us use Poser which has a some advantages over DAZ Studio (like it actually comes with a fair bit of content). It is on sale this weekend at Renderosity for $50 which is better than half off if anyone is interested.

This issue seems to come up every few months. Redemption is built on top of the Renpy game engine. Renpy games seem to trigger a number of the AVs out there at various times. Particularly Avira and Avast I think can have problems with Redemption. I managed to get rid problem some AVs were having by removing the custom game icon last year which is why we no longer have one.
DeleteI can assure you that none of the code I have written is spyware. It only reads and writes files for save games, writes a debug log to the game folder, and writes files into the game directory when the updater is run. It only goes out to the net to fetch files when the updater is run and then it only fetches the version file and segments of the update archive that it requires for missing files. It does not send any of your information anywhere. It does not send any game statistics anywhere.
What I cannot guarantee is the Renpy game engine. It has over 1,000 files of its own installed with the system. Renpy has a good reputation and I think it is very unlikely that it is a problem, but there is no way for me to directly assess that.
More than once, I have contemplated rewriting the game as a windows app to get away from these and other issues with Renpy, but at this stage of the game, I would expect that to set back the game development by 6+ months and leave the Mac and Linux users out in the cold (at least until I could do a port).
I am more than happy to listen to any suggestions or opinions. Please do let me know what you think.
i haven't had any problem with AV and Renpy games so far, so sticking with it's ok for me :)
Deletehhey im a bit stuck, after defeating the priestess, i have few unpregnant chars, cerise, citrine, melliscoria and yaeline, although they all have 100% dispostion and i can get total scores above 200 in their pregnancy lunar time the pregnancy animation doesnt trigger, do i need to get higher score? another thing is when can my char start to have relation with the purple chars? empress clavielle and kalestian? thx
ReplyDeleteYou can't necessarily get all characters pregnant yet. Kal is only available at the beginning during training. Clavielle and and the Empress are special events. You have to progress the story to right point to get them. If you have the wrong people pregnant, you will not be able to do that. I have included the unpregnant button until the game is a bit more mature and it gives you some more hints.
