I have updated the game engine version to Renpy 6.99.4 which is supposed to be much faster. Hopefully this will translate to a smoother faster game.

Status Update
Ok, so I did some testing last weekend with Renpy 6.99.4. Compatibility seems ok and the performance was better IMHO.
Sadly, to put this up, we will have to have a complete new install. The updater does not work for updates to the Renpy engine, only the game code and images. :(
I hope to not have to change the engine again if I can avoid it. What I would really like to do is convert the whole project to HTML-5, but that is BIG job. Artwork complete first, and then thing about things like that.
